Before your first visit
The practical questions
What should I bring to my first visit?
Bring a photo ID and your insurance card if you have dental or orthodontic coverage. If you have recent X-rays from your general dentist, bring those too. Filling out our New Patient Forms online ahead of time means one less thing to do in the waiting room.
How long does the first visit take?
Plan for about 45 minutes to an hour for your consultation. If you move forward with diagnostic records the same day, add another 20 minutes or so.
Can treatment start on the same day as my first visit?
Usually not, and that's by design. Dr. Yue wants a complete set of diagnostic records, X-rays, models, and photos before building your treatment plan, so most patients return for a short second visit once that plan is ready. Your first consultation is complimentary either way.
Do you accept my dental insurance?
We work with most major dental insurance plans and review your benefits with you before treatment begins. We also accept FSA and HSA funds and offer flexible in-house payment plans.
What if my child or I are nervous about the first visit?
That's normal, and our team hears it often. The first visit is a conversation, not a procedure, so there's no drilling and no surprises. Dr. Yue walks you through exactly what he's seeing and what, if anything, he recommends before anything else happens.
