What are Clear Aligners?

Here at Willowbrook Orthodontics, we use three different clear aligner systems: Invisalign, SPARK™, and Angel Aligners. Clear aligners use clear, removable trays that are custom-made to move teeth gradually into their ideal positions. Clear aligners are a popular alternative to traditional metal braces for people seeking a discreet and comfortable way to achieve a straighter smile. These aligners are made of a smooth, comfortable, BPA-free plastic that is virtually invisible and can be removed for eating, brushing, and flossing.

How does Clear Aligner work?

Clear aligner treatment involves a series of clear, removable trays that gradually move your teeth into the ideal position. The aligners are custom-made for your teeth and are switched out every one to two weeks to adjust to the movement of your teeth. Patients must wear their aligners for at least 20-22 hours daily to move teeth effectively. Treatment with clear aligners typically lasts between 6 and 24 months, depending on the severity of the misalignment. Regular check-ups with Dr. Yue are required to monitor progress and ensure the aligners fit properly.
